Belleview is a city in Marion County, Florida, United States. The population was 4,492 at the 2010 census. According to the U.S Census estimates of 2018, the city had a population of 5,022. It is part of the Ocala Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Belleview was established in 1884 on Nine Mile Pond, now known as Lake Lillian. Nine Mile Pond got its name since it was nine miles from Ocala. Belleview is claimed to have been named after the daughter of one of the founders, but that narrative has been widely dismissed.
